• After failed vote on new location, South County Senior Center board mulls next steps (recorder.com) — Deerfield voters’ rejection of funding to relocate the South County Senior Center has halted the Sunderland move and pushed officials to reconsider where and how the tri-town center operates. Deerfield leaders now face pressure over using Town Hall instead, while seniors cope with scaled-back programs and services scattered between Sunderland, Whately, South Deerfield and Deerfield venues. 
• MIAA baseball: Frontier's season ends with tough 5-3 loss to Blue Hills (recorder.com) — Frontier’s baseball season ended at Valiton Field in South Deerfield with a 5-3 state tournament loss to Blue Hills, despite a strong overall record and league co-championship. A late insurance run and a dominant opposing pitcher shut down Frontier’s comeback, as the Redhawks now say goodbye to four seniors but return a solid core for next year.
