Baypath Humane Society Seeks Foster Families to Help Animals in Need

Dogs in immediate need of foster parents

Baypath Humane Society is reaching out to the community in search of foster homes for dogs and cats. Foster parents provide love and care for an individual dog or cat until they find their forever home.

Fosters serve many critical needs. They may be:
• Saving an animal’s life when a shelter is full
• Providing a safe place for a dog or cat who is frightened by living in a shelter
• Sharing a quiet home with a dog or cat while they recover from an injury or illness
• Offering a safe haven for a mother cat and her kittens
• Bottle feeding newborn puppies or kittens who lost their mother

“Foster parents are heroes to us, and to the animals in our care,” said Shelter Director Elizabeth Jefferis. “Nurturing an animal in need is one of the most selfless acts you can make. It makes all the difference for their future success as a wonderful companion pet.”
