Dover-Sherborn, MA – Dover resident Stephen Birmingham and Sherborn resident Henry (Hank) Murphy were honored by the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) with the first ever Founders Award at the School’s Out Summer Celebration this June. CSF supports programs and services that offer the best educational opportunities for all students at Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston. The Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF), the foundation’s signature program, provides thousands of children in need partial scholarships to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston.

Birmingham and Murphy have been committed to the work of the foundation for over twenty years and co-founded the Inner-City Scholarship Fund Professionals’ Team in 1995. Stephen Birmingham has also been on the CSF Board of Trustees. The ICSF provides volunteer opportunities for business professionals to enrich the educational experience of Catholic school students by bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace.

“Stephen and Hank’s commitment to the Inner-City Scholarship Fund and the students we serve is an inspiration to professionals looking to get involved and who want to make a difference in our schools,” said Michael Reardon, executive director, Catholic Schools Foundation.
