Dollars for Scholars Night Held at High School

Many community organizations took part in the Dover-Sherborn High School Dollars for Scholars night at which students could learn what local scholarships are available to graduating D-S seniors.

Students and parents gathered at the Dover-Sherborn Regional High School on Wednesday night to collect college scholarship information from local organizations that offer awards to local students.

“We’re trying to give the parents and students a first look at what’s available for scholarship money,” said Rebecca Cellucci who helped organize this year’s event.

Senior Teddy Mosher, 17, of Dover, appreciated the effort.

“I’m here to see what different scholarships are available to me,” he said.  “As college costs get higher and higher, any amount of money is helpful toward the cost of college…There seems to be a scholarship for any kind of student, whether you’re artsy or sports-oriented, I think it’s great that no matter what kind of student you are, there’s a scholarship for you.”

Susan Mosher said the event was the first step in her son's scholarship journey.
