The Friends of the Sherborn Library are pleased to announce our June art exhibit—multi-media works by Margaret Primack and several of her students.
Margaret has been an art teacher both in Borneo and in Massachusetts. Most of the work displayed will be batik art done on different materials such as rice paper, cotton and silk. Batik is a form of wax resist whereby desired areas are preserved using hot wax. The wax is either partially or entirely removed when the painting is completed.
Some watercolor paintings and block reduction prints will also be included in the show. The exhibit is available for viewing on the first and second floors of the Library during business hours through the end of June.
