Former Dover Police Chief Passes Away
Carl Sheridan helmed the Dover Police Department for over 20 years.

DOVER, MA – Dover's former police chief Carl Sheridan has passed away, the Dover Police Department announced Monday. Sheridan served as chief of police from 1972-1994.
Sheridan became a champion for Dover's senior citizens in his retirement, working as the outreach coordinator for the Council on Aging.
On a Facebook post announcing Sheridan's passing, residents mourned the loss of the beloved chief. He was described as a "wonderful man," the "best of the best" and a "friend to all."
