Grab & Go Kids Planner: Feb. 24-26

Story time, comics and animal tracks are on the agenda for this weekend.

  • will hold a Fancy Nancy Story Time on Fri. Feb. 24 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Children are invited to come dressed in their fanciest outfits and listen to the latest Fancy Nancy book as well as some favorite Fancy Nancy tales!  Time will also be spent making a special craft too.  Admission is Free.
  • will hold a Father/Son Comic Art Workshop on Sat. Feb. 25 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm. After reviewing a few graphic novels artists Andy & Veronica Fish will teach you how to create your own comics. This workshop kicks off a brand new Father/Son book club which is open to boys in grades 4-6.   • Barnes and Noble in the Walpole Mall will hold a story time and meet and greet with Clifford the Big Red Dog on Sat., Feb. 25 at 10:30 a.m. After reading your favorite Clifford Stories, you will have an in-person visit from Clifford. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with Clifford. Admission is Free.
  • , located at 293 Moose Hill St. in Sharon, invites the family to a Join Patti Austin for a free on-the-trail interpretive walk on Sun., Feb. 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Search for tracks and traces for various on the trails and have your nature questions answered during your Sunday Saunter walk. This program is suitable for children ages 7 - 16 yrs. Walks are cancelled in inclement weather, call prior to attending if the weather is questionable. Admission is free.
  • , located at 125 Lakeview St. in Sharon will hold a free Family Fun Day and Open House on Sun., Feb. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m today. This event is open to all, in the camp's 8,000 sq ft heated lodge, and will include games, sports (including GaGa), arts and crafts, balloon animals, giveaways, a bouncy castle, snacks, drinks and tours by the camp directors. Visitors can even roast their own marshmallows and make s'mores around a camp fire. Admission is free.
