Hand Weeding Underway at Powisset Farm
A summer crew is busy at work on the local farm in Dover.
It's been a busy season so far for the folks over at in Dover.
Nearly 600 bales of straw arrived at the farm on Monday, July 9, which was unloaded by the farm's summer crew, according to a recent post on the Powisset Farm's CSA Blog.
Crews this week will be hand weeding strawberries planted for next season, which will then be mulched with the straw, according to the post.

Powisset Farm, a community-supported agriculture program and is property of The Trustees of Reservations, harvets an abundance of fruits and vegetables that are distributed from the farm to individuals who purchase shares in the farm.
The local farm also holds a every Tuesday from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., at which residents from Dover, Sherborn and surrounding towns can buy farm produce, local eggs, meat, fish, honey, jam and other goods.
