Despite early morning showers, Sherborn's July 4th festivities, , went off without a hitch on Wednesday. The day featured field events for residents of all ages, including a three-legged race, soccer kick, softball throw and a "greased pole" event. A family-related event was also be available, during which families competed using fire-fighting hoses and bunker gear at Jameson Field.

Despite early morning showers, Sherborn's July 4th festivities, , went off without a hitch on Wednesday.

The day featured field events for residents of all ages, including a three-legged race, soccer kick, softball throw and a "greased pole" event. A family-related event was also be available, during which families competed using fire-fighting hoses and bunker gear at Jameson Field.

The annual event kicked off at 9 a.m. Wednesday and remained fun-filled throughout the day.
