Norfolk Register Holds Office Hours In Dover

The Register Outreach team met with local residents to answer questions including filing mortgage discharges in a timely manner.

From Norfolk County Register: Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell and his outreach team held office hours this past Thursday, May 11th at Dover Town House. The Registry of Deeds is the principal office for real property records in Norfolk County cataloguing and housing more than 6 million land documents dating back to 1793.

O’Donnell and his staff met with local residents and answered questions on a wide range of Registry issues including the importance of filing mortgage discharges in a timely manner. In addition, Registry staff was able to provide residents with copies of their property deed and a copy of the plan of land associated with the property.

The Register expressed his strong belief in the benefits of bringing the Registry directly to the citizens of Norfolk County. “The Registry’s office hour events support a core objective of my office which is to bring the Registry and its services directly to the citizens of Norfolk County. Office hours allow the citizens of Norfolk County to avail themselves of Registry services without the inconvenience of having to travel to the Registry’s central office in Dedham. I was very appreciative that Dover residents came to our office hours and our team was able to assist them with their questions.”
