Rep. Linsky Joins Reproductive Freedom Leadership Council

Throughout my career as a State Representative, I have always fought for a woman's right to make decisions about her own body

Seven in ten Americans believe that the historic Roe v. Wade ruling, which established a women's constitutional right to abortion, should not be overturned. Yet, in the past few years, thousands of laws have been introduced throughout the country to restrict abortion rights at the state level. As a result, more than 350 new laws have been passed restricting abortion access at the state level, meaning a person's ability to receive quality reproductive care often depends on the state in which they live and the size of their paycheck.

These challenging times in our country have shown the important role of state legislators. The sparks of resistance and a groundswell of change to create a better future will come from state lawmakers. That is why I am proud to join hundreds of my colleagues in state legislatures around the country in supporting the launch of the State Innovation Exchange (SiX) Reproductive Freedom Leadership Council (RFLC). The RFLC is a group of state legislators who are committed to protecting and advancing reproductive health, rights, and justice. Throughout my career as a State Representative, I have always fought for a woman's right to make decisions about her own body. I am committed to being a leader on reproductive rights, health, and justice by joining SiX in promoting a bold, unapologetic stance in favor of abortion rights.

Here in Massachusetts, I will continue to fight to ensure that women in the Commonwealth are provided with the information and opportunities they need to make the right decisions for themselves and their families.
