
The Sherborn Threat clinched the indoor title in their U11/U12 Division at Forekicks in Norfolk on Thursday night.
Made up of mostly 6th graders from Sherborn, the girls entered the postseason defending their first place finish with a record of 9-1.
Thanks to an early goal from Jesse Dowse, the Threat won their first 25 minute game against Easton.

Led by a strong defensive line, the girls took shot after shot and played against some very aggressive and skilled players from Blessed Sacrament School.

Megan Morrissey scored for Sherborn on a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead, but BSS team came back with just minutes to play in regulation to knock one in the net.
After 5 minutes of a very intense overtime, the score remained at 1-1.
The game then moved on to penalty kicks.
After a solid shot by Alicia Goganian, Sherborn goaltender Brighid McGuire made an amazing save to give the Threat a 1-0 advantage.
Jesse Dowse nailed her penalty shot and BSS missed their next shot, giving the Sherborn Threat the victory.
Congratulations to all of the girls on an amazing, well played, hard fought season.
The girls will return next session to defend their title, along with coaches Tish Gogan and Ani Gigarjian.
