SHERBORN SELECTMAN DeRENSIS RECOGNIZED AS A SUPER LAWYER FOR TWELFTH TIME

Paul DeRensis, a seven term Sherborn Selectman, was named in November 2016 as one of 2016’s New England Super Lawyers.

Mr. DeRensis’ practice is concentrated in the area of municipal law, and he was one of only twelve lawyers given recognition as a Super Lawyer in the state, local and municipal law category throughout the entire six state New England region. Notably, this is the twelfth time he has been so recognized, a record for this category. This recognition follows his being named in March 2015 as one of the Boston Globe’s Top Rated Lawyers of 2015 as published in the Wall Street Journal and Boston Globe Legal Leaders Magazine of Boston’s Top Rated Lawyers of 2015.
Mr. DeRensis is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, and is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts and in various federal courts including the United States Supreme Court. He serves as Town Counsel to a number of Massachusetts municipalities. Mr. DeRensis serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Municipal Association and the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Selectmen’s Association. He also, by appointment by the Governor, served as Public Member of the State Board of Medicine and is a member of the State Local Government Advisory Commission. As representative of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he has served on various national medical/regulatory committees, and is presenting representing Massachusetts as a member of a national medical/regulatory Task Force on The Use of Opioids for the Treatment of Pain.

Mr. DeRensis previously served Sherborn as an elected member of the Sherborn Planning Board and as a member of the Sherborn Advisory Committee.
