Weekend Planner: March 23-25

Art, music and trivia are on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have is not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just isn't cutting it anymore, then don't worry, Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home.

1. International Cook-Off and Concert Fundraiser 

Where/When: Pilgrim Church, 25 South Main St., Sherborn; Sat., March 24, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Sample some of the area's best amateur cooks followed by a concert of international music. This event will benefit the Kenneth Powell Fund For the Creative Word. 

Pricing: $25.00 per person/$20.00 for seniors and students

2. Jazz Concert by the Brad Ellenberg Quintet

Where/When: , 268 Main St., Medfield; Sun., March 25, 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Why Go: Spend the afternoon at the Library to enjoy a free concert of jazz originals and standards by the Brad Ellenberg Quintet.

Pricing: Free, Open To All

 

3. Norwood Diamond Club Trivia Fundraiser

Where/When: , 152 Winslow St., Norwood; Fri., March 23, 7:00 p.m.

Why Go: The Norwood Diamond Club will hold a trivia fundraiser featuring an evening of prizes, raffles and light refreshments. Proceeds will benefit the Jack Crimmins Scholarship. For more information, please contact Ed Hickey at 671-759-3472.

Pricing: Admission is $15.00 pp or $150.00 for tables of 8-10.

 

4. Art 'N Bloom Exhibit

Where/When: , 268 Main St., Medfield;
Fri., March 23, 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sat., March 24, 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p .m. and Sun. March 25, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Art N' Bloom is a joint collaboration between the Medfield Garden Club and art students from Medfield High School.  Approximately 25 various works of spring inspired artwork will be displayed with beautiful floral arrangements throughout the library.

Pricing: Free, Open To All

 

5. Trivia Tyme at TGI Fridays

Where/When: , 1345 Boston Turnpike Parkway, Norwood; Sun., Feb. 26, 8:00 p.m.

Why Go:  Hosted by DJ Nick, Trivia Tyme delivers an exciting, enjoyable, and professional trivia presentation for contestants to have a great time! Trivia Rounds Include: Wheel of Fortune, Picture Rounds, Current Events, Who/What Am I and Multiple Choice. Prizes are awarded to the top winning teams.

Pricing: Free, Open To All
