• Braden Martin, Charlie Wilkie net top MVC boys lacrosse honors (lowellsun.com) — Dracut boys lacrosse just capped a huge season, with senior Charlie Wilkie named Division 2 Player of the Year and coach Paul Ganley earning Coach of the Year in the Merrimack Valley Conference. Dracut went 21-2, reached the Division 3 state final, and placed eight players on the all-conference first and second teams.
   

• Greater Lowell Community Foundation awards $268,200 in grants to local nonprofits at Annual Meeting (lowellsun.com) — A Greater Lowell Community Foundation grant is sending $5,000 to the Rainbow Dracuteers’ “Rooted in Dracut” project, alongside more than $260,000 awarded to 29 other nonprofits. The funding supports children’s services, elder programs, and LGBTQ+ initiatives across Greater Lowell at a time of tightening federal support.
