Affordable Housing Trust Offers Homebuyer's Assistance Program
Applications are available at Easton Town Offices.

Submitted to Easton Patch:
The Town of Easton’s Affordable Housing Trust has launched its first-ever Homebuyer Assistance Program. With funding from Easton’s Community Preservation Fund, the program will provide grants to assist at least four moderate-income households with the purchase of a home in Easton. The program aims to address the difficulty faced by workforce homebuyers in finding reasonably-priced homes locally.
The effort is the first major initiative of Easton’s Affordable Housing Trust. Formed in 2009, the Trust’s major goals include: helping homeowners to stay in their homes; connecting residents to affordable housing resources; and promoting the development of housing options for people at all income levels. The Trust was integral in creating the role of Community Planner, who serves as a liaison for residents and carries out the Trust’s activities.
