Commitment to Community Second to None

Mark Linde respectfully asks for your vote on election day. Please go to the polls and vote for a regular person. Please give me your vote and I will be your voice.

To all the new friends I met along the way in Easton (and Brockton) during the past five months, it has been a pleasure to get to know you and the issues you're concerned about at the State level.

Many of your issues tie in with Town and City issues. Education, jobs, taxes, services to our "greatest generation" and veterans. I have been a lifelong advocate for all of these causes. From my stewardship as an elected member (and Chairman) of the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School Committee right here in Easton to my 16 years of service as a Library Trustee and chairman of the board In Brockton I have always been there to serve people, advocate for you and work tirelessly each and every day.

I am a regular citizen. I went to school here. I grew up here and I chose to return here after college. My experience has been long and varied since I was a high school student. I am now 51 years old and I have so much more to give. I am not part of a political machine. I don't have big money. I am a regular person who cares. I am someone who believes in giving back. Always have, always will.

I have over 35 years of experience. I have served as a representative of my high school class for three years to the Brockton School Committee. I served on the Brockton cable advisory board. I served as the chairman of the Downtown Brockton Association. I have been an educator teaching in the classroom at Massasoit Community College. On election day I will actually teach a Speech Communication class so I don't let down my students and set the wrong example.

I enjoy public, educational and government service which parallels my job as the General manager of Brockton Community Access which allows people to communicate in their own words and showcase the community. My mother, who is in the hospital as I write this and my dad who helped people every day as a Parole officer and beyond both taught me never to give up. My parents are Easton residents. Although I live in Brockton, less than three tenths of a mile from the Easton line I already serve Easton on the Southeastern Regional School Committee.

I will serve both communities equally and with distinction. Stand up for what is right has always been my motto. I will serve you and stand up for you at the State House. I will be truthful, dedicated and will work extremely hard on your behalf. You can count on me and I will never let you down. Throughout my entire life I have always thought of others and have always been the "go to" guy. I seek out answers and propose solutions.

I work well with others as part of a team. My other challengers differ from me as I have more leadership experience. I never sit on the sidelines. I am the most experienced. I am educated and highly involved. I certainly am not a mile wide and an inch deep. I participate in my communities and I get results. I am proud of what I have accomplished in the past and look forward to effective public service.

Please go to my website at ElectMarkLinde.com and decide for yourself. I have worked very hard to meet you and to find out your issues. I will work even harder to help you with those issues and make you proud that a regular person can serve you. No fancy words. No broken promises. Just commitment to you and commitment to community as I have always done. Thank you for considering a vote for Mark Linde as your State Representative. Thursday September 6th is election day. Please vote for someone like you that gets up each and every day and works and works to make this a better place.
