Countdown to Primary Day on Thursday September 6th

Mark Linde hopes to be your new State Representative from the 11th Plymouth District. Please vote for Mark Linde on Thursday September 6th. Number two on your ballot. Number one to serve you.

The State Primary for the 11th Plymouth District State Representative District race is later this week on Thursday September 6th. That's right, it's on a Thursday. This is an unusual day for the election to take place on. This is because Mass. Secretary of State William Galvin moved it from Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) later in the month and he chose not to schedule it on 9/11. Please remember to vote on Thursday, September 6th.

It's almost over except for the personal phone calls to voters and the "walking and knocking" on the doors of the residents of Easton (Precincts 1-5) and Brockton (Ward 1, Ward 3D, and Ward 7C & 7D).

On my website ElectMarkLinde.com you can see the many debates and television shows I appeared on during the past five months. These appearances are un-edited and show my challengers and myself. Please contrast my honest and straight approach in answering the questions. Nothing rehearsed or presumptuous. It is from my heart that I speak all while thinking about serving your interests, not mine, or any special interests. The campaign schedule was very busy but it was an exhilirating experience. It was done willingly with a goal of serving you as your next State Representative.

My prior extensive un-paid, volunteer experience suits me well to be your next State Representative. From being an elected member (and current Chairman) of the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School Committee right here in Easton to my over 16 years as an appointed member (and current Chairman) of the Brockton Board of Library Trustees I already have the experience to serve you well at the State House.

My experience as an educator for 19 years at Massasoit Community College helping students better themselves and my family background of two grandmothers and my mom who were teachers, as well as my dad who taught at both and Massasoit gives me the passion to make educational opportunities the cornerstone of my campaign. My education plan calls for an early start into college opportunities right in high school. A dual enrollment or step ahead could save families money with a head start into college courses right at Oliver Ames High School, Southeastern or Brockton High School. We all have smart kids that can meet the challenge early while saving money at the same time.

My experience as a communicator and head of a non-profit community service organization, Brockton Community Access for the past 19 years will allow me to better communicate about state government in a new way if I am elected as your State Representative. As the General Manager of this local cable access television station in Brockton I know how to get the word out and promote a positive image for both Easton and Brockton. I have already worked closely with Jason Daniels at Easton Community Access Television and I will work with and utilize all media opportunities to let you know what's going on at the State House. A special thank you to the Easton Patch for allowing me to "blog" and the Easton Journal for their coverage.

I commit to you my word that I will be present for ALL roll call votes at the State House. I rarely miss any meeting of my School Committee or Library Board and I won't let you down by not being at an important vote.

I commit to you my desire to have a local office within the district of Easton and Brockton and will work to make this a reality so you can talk to me about your issues, concerns and suggestions.

I commit to you that I will represent Easton and Brockton equally. I live as close to the Easton/Brockton border, which is nearby to where Union Street in Easton merges into Pleasant Street in Brockton. My parents live in Easton and I am at their house a lot as well at the Southeastern Regional High School on Route 106 in Easton.

I commit to you and pledge to you that I will work the hardest I can to represent you. I listen and act honestly and with integrity everywhere I have served.

I need your commitment to me on Thursday September 6th with your vote. I respectfully ask for your vote and need it to continue at the Democratic nominee for this seat to go onto November. I need your help on Primary Day. If you would like to help please call my home at (508) 588-4493. My wife Teri or I will call you back.

My Commitment to Community started when I was a high school student over 35 years ago. My commitment will be to you the voters and no one else. I look forward to the opportunity to meet your needs and provide the best representation. Give me a chance. I will be your voice and I will work hard each and every day to prove that an everyday citizen can be your every day representative.
