Film Festival at Stonehill
Film festival in Easton on May 14th at Stonehill College. Excellent student films to be shown, awards will be presented.
"Life imitates art far more than art imitates life." - Oscar Wilde.
This quote could be the theme for some of the films entered into this years Hockomock Film Festival . Several students and residents from Easton, Sharon, Canton, Stoughton and Franklin produced in depth and compelling artistic films about many social issues that affect many students and the population at large. Some of the topics they chose for their films include teenage pregnancy, homelessness, bullying, dealing with being a transgender, being distracted while driving, and living with a disability.
They should be recognized for the amount of research and work involved in producing these films. In addition to social issues, students produced clever and insightful music videos and dramas with excellent cinematography, acting and editing. Not all of these students will win an award or follow a career in filmmaking, however they should be commended for the tremendous dedication and time involved in producing their films.
