Making a Difference - One Girl Scout Cookie at a Time
Lemonades, Trefoils and the iconic Thin Mint! These perennial favorites offer more than a garden of good taste. They satisfy our appetites today while developing the leaders of tomorrow.

Boy Scouts and Girl Guides originated in the United Kingdom and the concept was brought to the United States by Juliette Low in March of 1912. From the organization’s earliest beginnings, girls learned about food production and conservation along with the values of the Girl Scout Law – be honest and fair, be friendly and helpful. Be considerate and caring, courageous and strong – and always be responsible for what you say and do. Respect themselves, respect others, use resources wisely and make the world a better place. When a Girl Scout sells you cookies she is promoting these values and spreading their influence. She is building courage, confidence and character, reaping the benefits - and sharing them with the world.
Girl Scout troops are diverse, supportive and dynamic. The influence of their experiences are as exciting as the adventures they discover and the contributions they make to the communities they serve are equally generous. Let the lesson of our youth not go unnoticed. From the youngest Daisy, to the oldest Executive Director – one can always make a difference. Cookie sales offer a wonderful way to share a treat, a smile and a commitment.
As the cold days of winter settle in around us – I choose to warm the heart of a scout and embrace the influence of good taste. I will do my part to contribute to the value of a Girl Scout’s promise and help them find success in life – one cookie (or box) at a time...
