OA Football JV Starts Off Season with 26-7 Win Over Medfield
OA Junior Varsity Football Team starts the season with a 26-7 win over Medfield.

The OA Junior Varsity Football team used a strong defense to hold the Medfield Warriors to 7 points and roll to victory in its first game of the season. The Tigers started the game with a bang when Sophmore Mike Ferrara grabbed the opening kick-off and weaved his way through the Medfield defense for a 90-yard touchdown run. The OA defense dominated the rest of the quarter with sacks by Rob Hawes on third down and another by Patrick McNeely on first down for a loss of seven yards.
The 2nd quarter started with OA continuing its strong defense as Noah Ryan blocked a Medfield pass attempt and Tom Ingargiola had a key sack on third down. The Warriors punted the ball and OA started at their own 2 yard line. They didn't stay there long as John McMillan hit Xavier Leroy sprinting down the left sideline and completed one of the longest scoring plays in JV history with a 98 yard touchdown to make the score 12-0 after missing the 2-point conversion.
Medfield put the offense back on the field again however OA's James (JD)Donofrio raced around the right end and blindsided Medfield's QB with a crushing hit and the Medfield defense was forced to punt again. After a bad snap OA took over at the Medfield 35 yard line and later Mike Ferrera scored his second TD of the game with a physical 12-yard run up the middle of the Warror defense and a 18-0 lead at halftime.
