The 3rd Annual ECAT 48hr Film Sprint

It is that time of year again, Easton Community Access Television is holding its 3rd annual 48 hour film sprint! Whether you are an aspiring film maker, or just someone seeking the opportunity to create your very own short film with your family and friends; all are welcome to participate in this fun filled weekend. 

Teams of three or more will begin the contest here at ECAT, 50 Oliver Street, North Easton MA, on Friday, June 21st at 5:30pm. ECAT's film equipment will be provided as a first come first serve basis, so make sure you write your script quick so that you can get all you need to win. Contestants will have until Sunday, June 23rd at 5:30pm to submit the finished take of their masterpiece.

Contestant's films final length can be anywhere between 4-7 minutes, so if you are simply looking for a fun summer activity, this contest is for you. You do not need to be a professional film maker, actor, or actress to have fun with the Film Sprint; everyone is welcome! The 48 hour Film Sprint is a great opportunity to have a fun, fast paced weekend, to not only create a short film, but also exciting memories for you and your friends.

Then on Sunday, June 23rd, teams will join us here at ECAT for the LIVE results show, which will begin at 8pm. Contestant's films will be aired for all to see, along with live music from bands Lemon Tree. and The Electioneers, all leading up to the results of the winning team. 

So start building your own film crew of family and friends today! Anyone and everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate in this exciting experience. Team registration is $15 and must be submitted by Friday, June 15th. Do you have what it takes to be the best film maker around?
