The Boston Globe reported Thursday on redistricting discussions at the state level.

The Town of Easton is at the forefront of a discussion happening in the state legislature involving the redrawing of district lines.

The Boston Globe reported Thursday that a special Massachusetts House and Senate committee was given the task of redrawing districts. Many towns, including Easton, are looking for more consolidation among state representatives and state senators.

“We are not a small town,’’ Easton Board of Selectmen Chair told the Globe. “We are a community of 23,000 with three state representatives and two senators. We would like some consolidation.’’
