Easton Brownies Tour Simpson Spring

Members of Easton Brownie Troop 80580 took a tour of located at 719 Washington Street in Easton. The Brownies toured the original production room, on-site museum, and the spring room where the water enters via an underground pipe system. Pictured is the troop with their tour guide, Matt Bertarelli, in the syrup room where the syrup is still mixed by hand.
Simpson Spring is one of the oldest bottling manufacturers in the United States, providing all-natural soda and pure bottled spring water. Simpson Spring has been around since 1878, but the use of the spring far predates this time. The spring was originally used by the Assawompsett Indian tribe, and the water was believed to possess medicinal qualities.
