Easton Cardiologist Joseph Weinstein, MD, Named One of America’s “Top Cardiologists”

Cardiologist Joseph Weinstein, MD, has been named one of America’s “Top Cardiologists of 2011” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr. Weinstein, who resides in Westwood, is the medical director of Easton Cardiology Associates, 15 Roche Bros. Way, and is affiliated with Good Samaritan Medical Center. The recognition from the Washington, D.C.-based group is determined by evaluating a physician’s experience, training, board certification and professional associations.

Dr. Weinstein attended the Boston University School of Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude; he completed his residency at Boston City Hospital and a fellowship in cardiology at University Hospital in Boston.
He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners; a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine; a Diplomate, Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease, of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a Diplomate of the Certification Council of Nuclear Cardiology.

He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians; a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology; a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Weinstein is a recipient of the Bakst Award in Medicine and the Malamud Prize and previously was named to Boston Magazine’s “Boston Top Doctors” list. He is a former trustee of Good Samaritan Medical Center and previously served as the chairman of the Department of Medicine and the vice president of medical affairs at the medical center.
Dr. Weinstein is also a former clinical associate in medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine and has been an instructor of advanced cardiac life support since 1991. He has been published several times and has also offered numerous presentations in his field of expertise to healthcare professionals in southeastern Massachusetts.
Dr. Weinstein has a special clinical interest in coronary disease and cholesterol.
