Easton Makes List Of 'Best Places To Live'....Again!
Easton officials pleased to be on the list for the third time.

Easton was ranked 43 among the top 100 places to live in America for the third time by Money Magazine. The list was released Monday.
“People are happy to be on the list again,” said Eaton Town Administrator David Colton. He said they enjoy the recognition. Colton said Money Magazine goes through a very rigorous process to come to their 100 list. “It is a very objective process driven by demographics,” he said. “It’s a great list to be on.”
Colton said they were notified several weeks ago by the magazine that they were being considered again, as they were in 2008 and 2009. Easton has been on the list three out of the past four years.

At the Monday's selectmen meeting Chair Colleen Corona said she was pleased to hear the magazine lauded the town for its commitment to open space.
“We’re all very pleased,” she said. “It’s a good thing for the community…certainly good for the realtors”.

The magazine noted Easton is good for, “a home where you can spread out, the densely settled Boston area can be tough. But Easton, 30 miles south of the city, has done a better job than most towns of preserving its open spaces”.
They also wrote, “The town also features many family-friendly amenities, including the Children’s Museum and the Ames Free Library downtown (which was named one of the best small libraries in America in 2011 by the Library Journal)”.
