Borderland State Park and the Friends of Borderland invite you to view the ninth Annual Blanche Ames National Juried Art Exhibition opening night on Saturday, Oct. 22 and continues to be open Tuesday through Sunday, from Oct. 18 through Nov. 5.
The exhibit, featuring the work of fifty-two artists from all over the United States, The show will be held at Borderland in the ornate two-storied oak-paneled library of the fully-furnished 1910 Ames Mansion. Admission to the exhibit is free, sponsored by the Friends of Borderland and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The Friends of Borderland, a non-profit organization which assists in the operation and preservation of Borderland, sponsors this national competition and exhibition. Its intent is to foster an appreciation of various forms of art as well as to pay homage to Blanche Ames, a painter and illustrator whose studio was in her home in the Ames Mansion.
