No Apologies From National Grid

There will be no apologies from National Grid for its response to Tropical Storm Irene in late August, which left thousands of Easton households without power for multiple days.

According to an NECN report, the power company filed a report with the Massachusetts Department of Utilities this week detailing its work during the storm, including the 2,586 pieces of equipment it used. While the company said it would work to improve communication, it was "proud" of it's efforts.

"The company is proud of its restoration efforts and grateful for the unwavering dedication of its employees," the report said.
