North Easton Savings Bank Had Loan Program Ready

North Easton Savings Bank was going off emergency loans if the government shut down.

North Easton Savings Bank was prepared to provide immediate assistance to its customers affected by a potential government shut down last week.

If a customer’s direct deposit, monthly Social Security or government check, wasn’t received, the bank was prepared to offer Customer Emergency Income Loans, offered a zero percent interest for a short time.

“Our customers need to be able to pay for everyday necessities,” said Thomas Deubler, president and CEO of North Easton Savings Bank. “If customers can not pay for their groceries, prescriptions or rent due to the inability of the government to solve this problem, we feel an obligation to help.”
