Police Log: Arrests for Drunk Driving, Armed Robbery

Excerpts from the Easton Police Department log.

Monday, Jan. 12

At 10:30 a.m., police arrested Nicholas P. Sorgi, 21, 49 Harrison Ave. of Abington, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of property damage on Depot Street.

At 1:26 p.m., police reported larceny over $250 on Turnpike Street.

At 6:45 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident involving a deer at the intersection of Turnpike Street and Village Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 13

At 7:32 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage at the intersection of Turnpike Street and Christopher Drive. A fire engine and an ambulance responded to the scene.

At 11:53 a.m., police reported fraud on Lothrop Street.

At 2:43 p.m., police arrested Osvaldo Manuel Peixoto, 38, 12 Linden St. of North Easton, and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle at the intersection of Roche Brothers Way and Washington Street.

At 9:04 p.m., police investigated a robbery at Dunkin’ Donuts on Washington Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 14

At 2:14 p.m., police reported a robbery at Piezoni’s on Robert Drive.

At 5:41 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Washington Street.

At 10:15 p.m., police arrested Anthony J. Gaultier, 27, 18 Prospect St. Apt. no. 1, and charged him with attempted armed robbery while masked, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, number plate violation to conceal ID, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle. Police arrested Thomas Adam Riley, 24, 129 Turnpike St. of South Easton, and charged him with two counts of armed and masked robbery and attempted robbery while masked. Gaultier and Riley were arrested at White Hen Pantry on Turnpike Street.

Thursday, Jan. 15

At 7:23 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with personal injury on Canton Street. A fire engine and an ambulance responded to the scene.

At 5:17 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Eastman Street. A 48-year-old man from Canton was summonsed for leaving the scene of property damage and a marked lanes violation.
