Model Emily Herschlagg likes the idea of a custom-made gown.

“We could tell her what we wanted and she would listen to us,” said Herschlagg.

“They can come in with a picture of something they like, or something they imagine they like,” said Rahebi.  “Or, if they like different parts about different dresses, I combine and make it one design for them.”

Rahebi’s custom-made dresses start at $400.  Off-the-rack dresses range from $200 to $500.

Touch of Design donated the proceeds of Friday night’s show to children’s cancer research and will also donate 10 percent of all sales through March 12 to the cause.
