On what turned out to be one of the nicest days of the summer, the opened its doors to a day of "free golf" in honor of the last Thursday.

The day began with a breakfast meeting for the members followed by golf for anyone wishing to hit the links.  During the breakfast, general manager Mark Lombardi gave a brief history of the course from when it began as a nine hole course to where it is today as an eighteen hole course with a clubhouse and a function room facility

"We are extremely pleased with the turn out today," commented Lombardi, "And, it's nice to see all the golfers who have supported us throughout the years and some new faces as well.  I hope the new golfers who came out today will realize what great shape the course is in and make it a point to play at Easton more often."

Golfers who played this past Thursday were asked to make a small food donation for the in exchange for the free golf.

"We just about filled up the club's pick-up truck with all the food we collected," said Lombardi.

He is also hoping that Easton Country Club will be able to do other fund raising events for the community in the future.  "We've been doing our annual 'Turkey Day' event where golfers bring in a frozen turkey for free golf.  We obviously have to run the club as a business, but it's always nice to give something back to the community as it has supported us throughout the years."
