Some lawmakers are calling for the resignation of State Sen. Brian Joyce after the FBI raided his office.

CANTON, MA — Massachusetts Republicans are calling for the resignation of State Sen. Brian Joyce, D-Milton, after the FBI raided his Canton office.
The investigation is reportedly related to alleged financial improprieties.
In January, Joyce admitted to using about $3,300 in campaign money to pay for his son’s high school graduation. A former assistant majority leader, Joyce last year resigned from his leaderhship positions amid allegations he lobbied on behalf of a private client. A Boston Globe investigation also alleged Joyce received free dry cleaning from a Randolph business.

State GOP chairman Kirsten Hughes called for Joyce to resign.
“Joyce’s remarkable disregard for the law is a byproduct of the Democratic culture of corruption on Beacon Hill, where abuse of power appears to be a fringe benefit,” she said in a statement.
