The Edwin A. Keach Memorial Foundation and Easton Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to help spread wood chips at the playground at Edwin A. Keach Park on Chestnut St on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 8 am.  If you have a rake, shovel, gloves, and/or cart please bring them with you otherwise they will be provided for you.  For further information or if you can volunteer call, email, or text Meredith Keach (508)380-3943 or meredithkeach@hotmail.com.

Located on Chestnut Street, Edwin A. Keach Park, is a 16-acre athletic complex.  The complex will ultimately include five playing fields, a playground and a parking lot.  The entire project is under construction with plans for the playground to be completed by mid-summer 2012.  The recreation department has tentative plans for a grand opening of the complex for public use in the spring of 2013.

Why Go?:

The Easton Lions Grange Charitable Thrift Shop is open every Wednesday from 10-2 and Saturdays from 9 to 3. We are located at the intersection of Rt.138 & Elm St, next to the Union Villa. Your donations are tax deductible.

New used inventory coming in all the time. We are loaded for bear. Dining sets, end tables, couches, chairs, patio sets, glassware, prints, paintings, tools, collectibles, jewelry, nick-knacks, books, toys, bikes, records, clothing, baby things, household items, and an endless count of usable items by the many hundreds. Everything is priced to move and everyone can dicker. No reasonable offers refused.

Where/When: Depot Street "S" Curve/ Saturday 10 a.m.

Why Go?

Area vendors will be selling the freshest foods at a new location.

Easton Farmers Market starts this Saturday 10-2 and then Tuesdays 2-6. It is now located at the old "S" curve on Depot St just North of the Five Corners.

Where/When?: Campanelli Stadium, Brockton/ 1 p.m. Sunday

Why Go?:

The Brockton Rox play in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, one of the top summer baseball leagues in the Northeast!

 Sunday is Family Fun Day/Barn Babies.
