The Fifties musical, “Rock and Roll Heroes” will be performed on Friday, July 20th, 7PM and Saturday, July 21st, 7PM at the Easton Middle School auditorium, Columbus Ave. in Easton. This fun, family musical takes place in the days of poodle skirts and bobby socks, motorcycles and ducktails, and plenty of old time rock and roll. Two opposing groups, the Greasers and the Soxers, come to battle it out on the stage. Amidst a ‘Romeo and Juliet’ romance and a rigged contest for homecoming Queen, one person and one couple come out on top at the big music festival and become the new Rock and Roll Heroes.

Where/When: Godfrey's Auto/ Saturday 8 a.m.

Why Go?

My name is Samantha Godfrey (20) and I am hosting a yard sale at Godfrey Auto Inc. to help raise more than $5000 for Peripheral Nerve Sheath Sarcoma research at Children’s Hospital Boston. My boyfriend Mark Rogers (21) currently suffers from this rare cancerous disease and he has had his surgeries and treatments at Children’s they have gone above and beyond to take care of us and we would like to give back. He has been in remission three times and is currently undergoing chemotherapy to shrink the three tumors in his body.

Last year we were able to successfully raise over $2000 and have had great help from family friends and the community. This year we are hoping to have everything come together just the way it did last year. On July 21st 2012 we will host this yard sale again from 8am – 4pm in the Godfrey Auto Inc. parking lot. We are accepting donations of items to be sold and any volunteers that would like to be apart of our event would be greatly appreciated!
