Town Announces Opening on Board of Assessors
After 10 years on the board, Shaun Fitzgerald announced his resignation this week.

After 10 years as a member of the Board of Assessors, Shaun Fitzgerald announced his resignation this week.
"Shaun has worked very hard for the town and I would like to thank him for his service," Board of Selectmen Chair said. "He’s been serving on the board for 10 years."
With Fitzgerald's resignation, the town is looking for citizens to replace his position on the board.

The town released this advertisement Wednesday:
Applications are currently being accepted for a vacancy on the Board of Assessors, an elected Board, at the Board of Selectmen’s Office, 136 Elm Street Easton, MA, 02356 until Tuesday, September 20, 2011, 4:30 p.m.

The required Volunteer form may be accessed from our website at www.easton.ma.us; select the “Search for Documents” tab and then choose “All Town Forms” and locate the fillable form at the top. If you have an updated version of Acrobat Reader, use the fillable form, otherwise use the Word version. (Type in “Board of Assessors” do not use the drop down menu). After saving, email the completed form to: kminsky@easton.ma.us or fax: 508 230-0609.
If you do not have access to the web, you may obtain the form by calling the Selectmen’s Office at 508-230-0501. At a future joint meeting the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Assessors will appoint the new member. The successful candidate will fill the vacancy until the next town election (April 2012).
