Town of Easton Searches For Finance Committee Candidates

With two weeks to go until the deadline to pull papers to run for elected town office, Town Clerk Jeremy Gillis said this week that there has still not been one person to pull papers for the Finance Committee.

Gillis said there are four available seats for the spot.

The last day to obtain nomination papers is March 2 at 5 p.m. and March 6 is the last day submit papers to the Board of Registrars. March 20 is the last day to file nominations with the town clerk.

Voter registration deadline is set for April 4 and Town Elections are set for April 24.

So far, two people (Colleen Corona and Patrick Goodman) have filed papers to run for the Board of Selectmen. Dan Murphy and Michael Maloney have pulled papers.

Walter Galas has filed his papers to re-run for Town Moderator.

Colleen Less has pulled papers to re-run for School Committee. Dennis Sheedy has pulled papers for the Housing Authority, and Jennifer Nichols has pulled papers to run for Board of Health.
