14-Year-Old Girl Hit By Car In Falmouth

Police said the driver, a 67-year-old East Falmouth woman, was cited because the teen was in the crosswalk when she was hit by a car.

FALMOUTH, MA — A 14-year-old girl was injured when she was hit by a car Monday afternoon. Around 4:40 p.m., police and fire officials were called to the intersection of Main and Shore streets when the teen was struck while crossing the street.

Police said the teen possibly fractured her pelvis. She was taken to Falmouth Hospital before being transferred to Children's Hospital in Boston.

The driver, a 67-year-old East Falmouth woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Police said the woman was cited because the girl was in the crosswalk when the crash happened.
