3 Indicted In 2022 Falmouth Stabbing Of Corey Lowe

A grand jury indicted three people involved in the 2022 death of Corey Lowe. The charges include second-degree murder for one man.

FALMOUTH, MA — Indictments have been handed down by a grand jury in the 2022 stabbing death of Corey Lowe in East Falmouth.

Three people — James D. Blood, Cynthia L. Rubin and Marlowe Hargrove — were indicted on a number of charges. Blood was specifically indicted on second-degree murder, while Rubin and Hargrove face lesser but still serious charges.

Blood, of Lynn, Mass., and Rubin, of Reading, Mass., were arraigned in October in connection to the fatal stabbing of Corey Lowe in Falmouth.

Falmouth police received word that a person was stabbed at a residence in East Falmouth around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 24. They arrived to find Lowe "seriously injured," and an ambulance transported Lowe to a Boston-area hospital.

He later died from his wounds.

The District Attorney said a trail of blood led authorities from the residence to a parking spot across the highway, where the trail stopped "abruptly."

Blood was arraigned on charges of home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Rubin was arraigned on charges of home invasion and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
