UPDATE: Missing Afghan Soldiers Caught at US Border
The Afghan soldiers were on a chaperoned, off-base trip when they disappeared without explanation, officials said.

Updated at 1:22 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22: The missing Afghan soldiers have been found at the US border in NIagra Falls, NY, according to multiple news agencies.
They were reportedly caught at the Rainbow Bridge Canadian/US border crossing. They allegedly told Customs Agents that they were refugees.

Three Afghan National Army officers have been reported missing after they were last seen Saturday night in Hyannis, military officials said.
The Afghan soldiers, Maj. Jan Mohammed Arash, Capt. Mohammad Nasir Askarzada and Capt. Noorullah Aminyar, were on a chaperoned trip to Cape Cod Mall when they disappeared without explanation, Cape Cod Times reported.

Base officials are actively searching for the soldiers with local and state authorities, according to Boston.com.
Massachusetts National Guard Lt. Col. James Sahady said the officers do not pose any threat to the public, the Times reported.
The Afghan officers were in the U.S. for an international training exercise at Camp Edwards on Cape Cod. Military professionals from the U.S., Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Pakistan took part in the training.
The training exercises on base did not involve weapons, a U.S. Central Command spokesman told the Times.
The training began on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and will end on Wednesday. The officials arrived in Cape Cod on Thursday, Sept. 11.
Police chiefs from the surrounding area said that they were given little information about the missing Afghan soldiers, Boston.com reported.

Last weekend, two Afghan policemen visiting Washington, D.C., for federal Drug Enforcement Agency training went missing, WJLA-TV reported. The officers were found outside the city, and told authorities they did not want to return home.
