The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.

From the Falmouth Police Department:On Feb. 1, the Falmouth Police responded to the Great Bay Motel for the report of a disturbance.Upon arrival on scene, officers report locating two men that had been injured due to an altercation.Preliminary investigation indicates that a man entered a motel room without invitation and held the occupants against their will. He eventually left, but returned a short time later where he brandished a knife when he was confronted by the male occupant of the room. The male occupant then armed himself with a piece of wood strapping in self-defense. As a result, the male occupant suffered stab wounds to the head and face. The assailant was struck with the wood strapping and also suffered significant injuries.Both men were transported to Falmouth Hospital by Falmouth Fire and Rescue Department. The assailant was subsequently transported to a Boston area hospital via Medflight. No identities are being released at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
