Bear in Boots Hosts Monthly Beer vs. Wine Dinner on November 18 with Sam Adams Brewery and Wine from Horizon Beverages

Executive Chef/Owner Gates Rickard showcases a multi-course dinner and challenges beverage purveyors to pair their products with his food

Executive Chef/Owner Gates Rickard and his wife Kate Rickard of Bear in Boots Gastropub celebrate their love for craft beer and fine wine in their monthly Beer vs. Wine Dinners. The November installation of the competition series features Sam Adams brewery and wine from Horizon Beverages.

Once a month, Bear in Boots hosts their signature Beer vs. Wine dinner, an interactive dining adventure that pits two local purveyors against one another in a pairing competition. Chef Gates Rickard prepares a four-course menu of homemade comfort food from around the world and representatives from a brewery and wine purveyor pair their products with each course. Guests enjoy all of the action, flavor and voting on which purveyor had the most perfect pairings. Last month Simply Amazing Wine won by four votes.
