Bourne Bridge Lanes Reopen During Day
Lane closures will still be in effect at night over the next couple weeks while repairs are completed.
BOURNE, MA — All four traffic lanes on the Bourne Bridge are open during the day as of Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bridge repair work will still require lane restrictions for five or six nights over the next couple weeks.
Remaining work includes waterproofing of the sidewalk and brush-curbing. This will be completed over the next couple weeks and will require lane restrictions at night, minimizing impacts to Cape Cod traffic, the Corps of Engineers said.
The contractor, R. Zoppo Corporation of Stoughton, Mass., finished up work on the road surface and started removing traffic control today to open all four lanes to traffic on the Bourne Bridge.
