Open to all mediums, including painting, collage, weaving, ceramics, and more. Painters:
Submit a painting of your studio space or specific elements within it, such as brushes, palettes, or paint tubes. Other Mediums: Represent your workspace through your specific craft. For example, a fiber artist might create a weaving inspired by the color palette of their studio.
Take a picture of your artwork for digital Submission to <a href="mailto:info@falmouthart.org">info@falmouthart.org</a>. One artwork per artist. Receiving fees are $10 for Falmouth Art Center members and $15 for non-members.

Glass artist <a href="https://www.instagram.com/isabel_green_glass/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Isabel Green</a> is the library’s Artist of the Month for May! Isabel grew up in North Falmouth, and began working with glass as a student at FHS. Her work is deeply inspired by the wildlife and landscapes of the Cape. Works on display are for sale.

Artwork by Philip Dutra will be displayed at The Gallery at FCTV from May 4 through May 29. A reception with the artist will be held on Sunday, May 17th, from 3-5pm.
Raised on Cape Cod, Philip Dutra draws on a lifetime of coastal experience to create paintings that emphasize clarity, restraint, and the natural beauty of the sea. Before committing fully to art, he worked in the boating industry, an experience that deepened his understanding of water, movement, and light—elements that now define his work. His background in architectural engineering also informs his sense of structure and composition.
Dutra’s paintings reflect a lifelong connection to the shoreline. Having spent decades immersed in the coastal environment, he finds continual inspiration in its shifting colors and moods. His approach centers on simplifying complex scenes, allowing essential forms and atmosphere to emerge without excess detail.
For Dutra, art is both personal expression and a way to evoke shared memories. He aims to create work that resonates emotionally while maintaining technical discipline. When faced with creative challenges, he steps away, often turning to quiet reflection or movement to regain perspective.
He believes artistic growth comes from persistence, observation, and a willingness to learn through process. The coast remains both his subject and his refuge—a constant source of inspiration that continues to shape his work and vision.
The Gallery at FCTV is located within the Falmouth Community Media Center, which is at 310E Dillingham Ave., easily accessible by Rose Morin Lane. FCTV and Gallery Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu: 10-8pm, Fri: 10am-6pm. Sat: Closed, Sun: 12-8pm.

Cape Cod Fairgrounds

Come find a bumper crop of unique and hardy plants for your Cape Cod garden, locally grown by members of the MGACC, in the 7,200 square foot Marketplace Barn. As in past years, gardeners will be delighted with the abundant selection of tomato, vegetable and herb plants, along with Cape proven performers in flowering perennials, pollinator-friendly natives, and queen of the autumn garden -- dahlias. 
An expanded variety of hydrangeas--including new introductions, native hybrids, rebloomers and climbers--will be featured in their own tent annexed to the Marketplace Barn, along with spring-blooming native azaleas, mountain laurels and rhododendrons for instant color.
The 27th Annual Plant Sale will open an hour earlier this year to allow garden enthusiasts more time to shop. Master gardener volunteers will be on hand to answer plant and gardening questions, and the community is invited to drop off soil samples from their garden or lawn for free pH testing by the Cooperative Extension’s Horticulture Clinic. Proceeds from the Annual Plant Sale support MGACC community outreach and public education programs across the Cape.

John Wesley United Methodist Church

To honor Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus, Waquoit Congregational Church choir, and the John Wesley United Methodist Church choir unite again for the third year in a row to present “Bridge to Harmony 2026”. This chorale concert features popular American, Italian, and Chinese folk art songs. The Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus, a popular Newton-based Chinese-American chorus since 2000, has won awards in international competitions including the World Choir Games in China, the World Choral Competition in Montreal, and the World Chorus Festival for Adults and Seniors in Vienna.

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
