We are thrilled to present works created by over 20 of our very own talented art instructors. From oil paintings and intricate ceramics to fiber arts and much more, this show highlights the incredible talent of Falmouth Art Center’s painting, weaving and ceramics faculty.
The Opening Reception for this show is scheduled for Friday, June 5, from 5:00-7:00pm. This reception is also for two additional shows A Peek Inside Artist Studios in the Hermann Gallery, and
the Cape Photo Collective in the Sigel Gallery.

Then &amp; Now is a retrospective exhibit by the Cape Photo Collective featuring the work of Chris Inoue, Kevin Ledwell, Susan Moffat, and Jon Moore. Tracing the evolution of photography from traditional wet darkrooms to modern digital sensors, the exhibit showcases decades of diverse personal histories, global travels, and social-documentary projects.

The International Book Group at West Falmouth Library is a volunteer-led group that meets on the first Wednesday of each month 3:45-5 p.m. Selections have either foreign settings or foreign authors, usually both. New members are always welcome! Annual registration is requested to receive important communications about schedule or location changes; register below.&nbsp;Meetings are both in-person and on Zoom.

Cultivate and share joy through guided activities and group discussion led by Saramaria Allenby. Drop in for one session or mark your calendar for a year of joyful exploration! Free and open to all! Starts June 3 at 6:30 p.m. (the first Wednesday of each month at the library)
Saramaria Allenby is a Community Chaplain in Falmouth sponsored by Upper Cape Chaplaincy. She has practiced secular spiritual guidance for many years and has shared her talents to help many.&nbsp; She is also a Chaplain at Falmouth Hospital as well as a counselor for Kairos Counseling. Saramaria lives here in Falmouth with her family.

Resistance &amp; Resilience: The Road From The Revolution In Falmouth, 1779–1850
Members’ Opening Thursday, June 4th at 4pm. Exhibition Runs June 5, 2026 to May 10, 2027.
This new exhibition invites visitors to explore how the people of Falmouth experienced the American Revolution and how those moments shaped a new national identity in the decades that followed. Beginning in 1775, Falmouth’s residents played an active role in the fight for independence, guarding the coast, supplying troops, and supporting privateering efforts. In April of 1779, the war arrived on their doorstep when a young boy carried word of a planned British attack across seven miles of water, allowing local militia under Major Joseph Dimmick to successfully defend the town in a dramatic and defining moment now known as the Battle of Falmouth, the only land battle on Cape Cod during the Revolution.
The exhibition continues through the War of 1812, when Falmouth again faced British assault, and into the early nineteenth century, as the community turned from conflict to growth and industry. Visitors will discover how ordinary people navigated uncertainty, rebuilt their lives, and contributed to the shaping of a new nation. Through stories of bravery, endurance, and everyday life, the exhibition traces the emergence of early American ideals including faith, resilience, and opportunity. Grounded in local history but national in scope, this exhibition reveals how Falmouth’s past reflects the broader story of America’s beginnings.

Resistance & Resilience: The Road From The Revolution In Falmouth, 1779–1850
Members’ Opening Thursday, June 4th at 4pm....

Next meeting is Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. Time may adjust slightly with the seasons and setting sun. This club will meet until winter when southern migration starts in earnest.

We’ll meet and mingle in the community room, share sightings, photos, successful locations and tips followed by a group migration to the garden for a group sit and observation.
Bringing along a portable chair is encouraged (available outdoor seating is limited) and your favorite binoculars. Since we will be meeting inside first, you’re welcome to leave your chair on the back patio while we gather inside.

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
