This event brings our community together to raise critical funds that make a real difference: supporting groundbreaking research toward a cure, expanding vital local programs and services, and helping people with Parkinson's live life to the fullest.Fundraise and earn great incentive prizes.There will be a DJ, lunch for participants, and Community Partner tables for everyone to visit. 

Together, we'll walk, connect, and raise funds to support the Parkinson's community.

Join us at West Falmouth Library Sunday, September 27 at 4 p.m. for an engaging talk with Cape Cod, award-winning historical fiction author <a href="https://janisrdaly.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Janis Robinson Daly</a> as she shares her inspiration and research which led to writing her latest novel <a href="https://library.clamsnet.org/Record/630864?searchId=43345481&amp;recordIndex=3&amp;page=1&amp;referred=resultIndex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Under Two Flags: a Novel of World War I</a>. Free and open to all. Co-presented with <a href="https://www.eightcousins.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Eight Cousins Bookstore</a>.

Pieces of Me is a&nbsp;powerful one-person play written and performed by Bo Petersen. Through an intimate family story, Petersen explores identity, race, the unspoken truths of apartheid South Africa, and the life-changing power of truth.
This acclaimed autobiographical work reveals the emotional cost of hidden family history and the secrets that shape who we are. Proceeds from the event will support Ikamva Labantu, a South African NGO&nbsp; that has provided services for the youngest and the oldest of the most vulnerable in the townships of Cape Town for more than 60 years.

What is Abstract Art? 
Abstract art
is non-representational: it does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of visual reality (such as a person, an object, a landscape) but instead uses shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. Even works that loosely depict a recognizable scene, person, object etc. are not considered abstract because we can recognize the subject (so these works are considered representational). 
Awards: $200 Best in Show, $100 each- four judge's awards
The Falmouth Art Center located at 137 Gifford Street in Falmouth is free and open to the public daily

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
