Cape Cod Cocaine Raid: 2 Arrested, Police Say

Police said Michael Lopes and Ashley Gonsalves, both of Bourne, were arrested Thursday as officers executed a search warrant.

FALMOUTH, MA — Two suspects were arrested and a large quantity of cocaine was seized in a police raid in Bourne near the Falmouth line Thursday morning, according to police. Michael Lopes, 36, and Ashley Gonsalves, 28, were arrested. The raid was conducted on Megansett Road in Bourne.

"Falmouth Police developed probable cause that narcotics were being sold from (the) residence," Falmouth police said in a statement. "Early this morning Bourne and Falmouth Police Departments, with assistance from a Barnstable Sheriffs K9, conducted a search warrant at the residence. The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of cocaine."

Lopes was charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) and Gonsalves was arrested for having three warrants, police said.
