Falmouth's Christmas By The Sea: A Weekend Of Celebration!

Check out Falmouth's first annual Christmas Stroll and other great holiday-themed activities this weekend.

The holiday season is offically upon us! Black Friday is over and Small Business Saturday was a huge success for retailers on Main Street. Now it's time to gear up for a little hometown celebration this upcoming weekend.

Friday, December 2

5:30-6:30pm: Holiday Christmas Carols at the historic Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole. Refreshments will be served. This is the perfect spot for pictures!

Saturday, December 3

8-9:30am: Family Pancake Breakfast and Parade Raffle at the  featuring face painting, a pancake and sausage breakfast, Smitty’s ice cream, a free children’s raffle and parade raffle featuring a 40” flat screen TV. Proceeds will benefit the 48th annual Falmouth Christmas Parade.

11am: Santa Sails into Falmouth Harbor at the . Immediately following the pancake breakfast, head on over to the docks at Falmouth Harbor to welcome Santa as he sails into shore. Sing along to your favorite Christmas carols and enjoy a steaming cup of hot chocolate. 

9:30am-noon: Nobska Lighthouse Public Viewing and Santa Visit. Tour the historic Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole. Santa visits at noon!

5-8pm: First Annual Christmas Stroll on Main Street and Queens Buyway. The Main Street and Queens Buyway shops will remain open until 8pm. Before and after the lighting on the Village Green, stroll the downtown streets and enjoy the decorated shop windows, holiday refreshments caroling, shopping and a holiday movie at Peg Noonan Park. 

7pm: Lighting of the Falmouth Village Green. The Falmouth Brass Choir will lead the caroling before a special visit from Santa. Bundle up! 

Sunday, December 4

Noon: 48th Annual Falmouth Christmas Parade. Presented by the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, this year's theme is “Christmas Memories, Celebrating 325 Years.” The parade steps off at noon from the Falmouth Mall and proceeds down Main Street towards the Village Green. Check out the decorated floats, marching bands, live animals, costumed characters and, of course, Santa Claus!

Make sure you step out this weekend and enjoy all that our beautiful town has to offer on this holiday weekend of celebration.
