The terminal is at 113 million and climbing like the “Big Dig.”
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is paying to move the 4 acre radio station to the other side of New Bedford.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center put out an RFP, Request For Proposal for an operator for the port 6 months ago. NO announcement
The hurricane gates only have a 120 foot wide clearance. Wind turbine specialized “jack- up “ barges used to construct wind turbines don’t fit through the gates !
The port is an incomplete financial fiasco. The original estimate for this port in 2010 was 35 million. Today the cranes alone could cost that much.
The current bond payments are $187,500 per month for thirty years at taxpayer expense. No one can afford to lease the incomplete port.
Why not just tell the public the truth ?
