Police Raid Leads to Four Arrests

A search warrant was executed in East Falmouth on Thursday morning.

An investigation by multiple police departments culminated in the arrest of four people in an East Falmouth home on Thursday morning.

Police arrested Vincent Carlino, 21, of Falmouth, and charged him with possessing a Class A drug (heroin) with the intent to distribute, possessing a Class B drug (Oxycodone) with the intent to distribute, possessing a Class B drug (Suboxone) with the intent to distribute, possessing a shotgun without a license and possessing ammunition without a license.

Police also arrested William Matchem, 25, of Falmouth, Tina Carlno, 43, of Falmouth, and Michael Costa, 24, of Falmouth, and charged them all on warrants.

Police executed a search warrant at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at 79 Carriage Shop Road after an investigation by Falmouth, Mashpee and Barnstable detectives.

“The investigation revealed the likely presence of illegal weapons in the residence, and the possibility that there might be individuals in the home with a history of violent offenses. In order to reduce the likelihood of injury to the officers or the house occupants, the Upper Cape Strategic Response Team was called upon to make the initial entry and safely secure whatever persons were inside. The team consisted of members from the Falmouth Police Department, the Mashpee Police Department, and the Barnstable County Sherriff’s Department. There were 12 people in the home at the time of entry, including a pregnant woman and a female child.

“The following items were seized during the search:

20 gauge shotgun

Ballistic vest

10 grams of heroin

43 Oxycodone pills (30 mg each)

10 Suboxone sublingual strips

Shotgun ammunition and .22 cal ammunition

Pepper spray

Digital scale

$1791 cash

“There were no reported injuries in this incident. The pregnant female stated that she was uninjured, but was evaluated at the scene by Falmouth Fire and Rescue EMT’s as a precaution.”
